The key to successful cancer treatment often lies in early detection. While some signs, like lumps on the skin, are easy to spot, cancer can also develop internally, making it harder to detect. That’s why regular check-ups and diagnostic tests like X-rays and ultrasounds are so important. Detecting cancer early, before symptoms show up, can make all the difference in your pet’s treatment options.

The treatment plan will depend on the type and location of the cancer. Whenever possible, we recommend surgically removing tumors. Some cancers respond well to chemotherapy, and we offer both oral and injectable treatments tailored to your pet’s needs. Fortunately, many dogs and cats tolerate chemotherapy better than humans, with fewer side effects. We also offer radiation therapy when necessary.

If needed, we’ll refer your pet to a board-certified oncologist who specializes in chemotherapy and radiation therapy for pets. Our goal is to make sure your furry friend gets the best care, so they can enjoy as many happy, healthy days as possible.
